If you are going to/from Philmont, please remember to book a shuttle for both your arrival date and your departure date. If shuttle service is not provided on your scheduled arrival day OR you are not able to schedule an arriving flight by 12:30 pm, please contact Philmont Seasonal Personnel at (575) 376- 2281 to check for a possible arrival adjustment and/or other shuttle options. Fee is $125 each way and is due when you book. Refunds are available until 30 days prior to your scheduled shuttle.  Please be sure to review our Terms and Conditions document prior to booking. We had a great experience! The Blue Sky Adventures family are a wonderful group. Our Groups’ accommodations and transportation services were everything we expected and needed.  The food service and activity recommendations were excellent. The overall experience was outstanding and I will book and recommend Blue Sky Adventures for any future interests.

Colorado Modified High Adventure - Troop 325

This was the first time I did a canoe trek in awhile. My first time I was a younger scout, and I still found an amazing yes it was difficult but persevering it gives you a different sense of feeling it gives you a sense of power. Also  shows you how big the world really is when you’re fighting against the elements and seeing the beauty of the natural world. Highly recommended and I would definitely do it again

We had a great time! Every detail was covered.  Accommodations were very nice and adventures were fantastic.  Buses were clean and staff was very friendly, punctual, and professional.

Colorado High Adventure - Troop 153

We had a very nice trip from Denver to Cimarron with short tours of Red Rocks and Garden of the Gods on the inbound leg. The staff are wonderful and helpful and the food provided and accommodations were first rate. My only suggestions for improvement would be possibly opting for a lower cost alternative to Great Wolf Lodge unless there is no other choice, as its amenities were unnecessary for our purposes and avoiding an overly early arrival at the airport which caused us to wait with our luggage due to regulations prohibiting checking luggage more than 4 hours prior to a flight.

For the record, this group booked the wrong dates and then blamed us that we were not ready. Laughable. 

They booked the trip with us, they reviewed the dates booked, and they paid the deposit and final payment. The arrival date they booked with us was not the correct date. 

We were fully prepared for them to arrive on Monday, July 28. We sent a confirmation email 10 days prior to arrival confirming that date.  Then they showed up in Denver on Sunday, July 27 which was supposed to be a day off for our staff in Colorado.

It was a travel miracle that we could find a bus and hotel rooms at the very last minute. Our staff did everything humanly possible to recover so that the Scouts could have the best possible experience en route to Philmont.

We've used Blue Sky for the past 3 trips to Philmont.   This trip was very disappointing.   First, no one showed up at Denver airport to pick us up.   Blue Sky had gotten our arrival date wrong - we had to call to alert them of our arrival.   After a 2-3 hour wait, our tours were abbreviated due to limited tour guide availability and shortened time.   The air force academy was not offered on tour as advertised when we booked.  We had to stay at the Drury Inn vs the Great Wolf Lodge in Colorado Springs due to no vacancies at the Great Wolf Lodge.   The scouts were disappointed.   No one called us to offer a discount or apology for the modifications to our package.   Surprising and disappointing given the high cost per scout for these tours.

We enjoyed our trip.  It was well coordinated.  The food was "serviceable," but most of our scouts ended up going out to one of the local fast food establishments (there were many choices), as they didn't enjoy the food that much.  Some are pickier than others, but people should prepare for the scouts to want to get different food, so they will need a way to pay and supervision to get to different locations.  They are walkable, but not right next to the Great Wolf Lodge.  The other piece that was a bit surprising to us was that our guide was tasked with guiding 3 groups on the second day and he was no longer dedicated to us.  He did a great job of handling it, but we certainly had less access to him and it did not seem to be exactly what we had purchased.  One final note to prepare your scouts and advisers for: the rooms have 2 double beds and a fold out couch.  Up to 5 advisors or scouts can be added to a room, so people may need to be ready to pull out their sleeping pad/bag to sleep on the floor, if they are uncomfortable sharing a bed with another scout or another adviser.

Blue Sky Adventures is a fantastic transportation and logistics outfit.  They made out travel to Philmont Scout Ranch simple and easy.  The communication was spot on as well.  We never had to lift a finger.  I highly recommend this company!!!

Blue Sky was amazing!  Everything was easy to book and from the moment we got off the plane to the moment they dropped us back off at the airport everything was easy and taken care of. Our group had an amazing time thanks to their thoroughness and experience.

We were disappointed that the Air Force Academy wasn't an option, and feel that it shouldn't have been in our itinerary if a pattern had suggested that it wasn't like to happen for us. BSA could have provided something else. We also feel that it shouldn't have been suggested that we could see any sights or sites in Manitou Springs because there wasn't enough time. Courtney was a great guide, and we really appreciated her knowledge and people skills.

Overall, a great experience. We had flight issues where Blue Sky was able to accomodate our changes.
All the drivers were great, prompt and buses clean.

Colorado No Frills - Troop 159

The crew had a great time and enjoyed the trip to Islamorada. The airport pickup, lodging, adventures, drop off, and pick up at Sea Base were seamless and communication was excellent. We would definitely use Blue Sky for future high adventure travel as the whole experience was low stress for the crew advisors.

We had a fantastic trip with Blue Sky Adventure! They were punctual, great at communicating and went above and beyond what we needed. Every meal was on time. They met us at the airport and took care of everything from there. We even had a need to run to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription and they made arrangements for us to get there and back. Again - it was beyond expectations!

My daughter had a great time on the shuttle, and made it's safely to camp and back.  No concerns about using this service in the future.  Great communication and they accommodated our needs.  Book early. I waited too late, and the shuttle was out of seats when I first tried to book.  Thankfully someone canceled, but it was a nervous start.

Curbside airport pickup was awesome! Our guide was wonderful! He was new but great! He was very professional but kind and friendly. The lunch on the bus was just OK. PLEASE don’t make a sandwich out of a block of tofu, maybe just veggies or added hummus. Restock and Garden of the Gods were great. Thank you for adding GOG since the Airforce academy was closed. 

Great wolf lodge was great and in a fantastic location.  Rooms were spacious. I do think they need some updating our bathroom was pretty questionable.  Food was delicious and plentiful even for all the food allergies. 

Bud driver to philmont was great! He shared tons of facts, stories and info about the local area as we traveled along. 

Drive back to the airport was fine. It was full of traffic but what can you do? Wish we could have stopped for lunch bc the refunded $15 p/p doesn’t go as far at the airport but it is what it is. 

We definitely see the value in the service but wish there was a better budget friendly hotel like there used to be.

Sea Base No Frills - Troop 235 Group 1 - Islamorada

Great shuttle service to and from Philmont from ABQ airport.  My minor children travel solo, and I never have to worry about this service.  They are responsive to my queries. The service is good value and super easy to book.  And my kids have a lot of fun with the other kids on the shuttle!

Colorado Deluxe Plus - Troop 128

Blue Sky Adventures comes through again! We did the Modified High Adventure pre-trip before our Philmont trek. The activities (Red Rocks hike, Garden of the Gods hike, and white water rafting) helped us acclimate from our sea level area of the country to 5000+ feet. Lia M. and Lori E. were excellent guides. Great Wolf Lodge is a nice base of operations, though the food there is a bit mid.  After our trek, once the bus dropped us off at the airport, one of my scouts told me he had forgotten his phone on the bus. I got in touch with Corah, and she tracked the phone down and is having it shipped to the family. Above and beyond service! Thank you!

The bus was comfortable. Our driver, Leif, was prompt, friendly, and safe. We appreciated the rest stop and the catered lunch at Great Wolf was an unexpected and welcome surprise. Communication with BSA was a breeze. All in all, I'd recommend BSA for future transportation needs.

BSA gets the job done. They dot their 'Is' and cross their 'Ts' all while ensuring the Scouts are educated, entertained, fed, and taken care of. They have assembled a great team of professionals that really understand what matters and how a great time can be provided to a rambunctious group of teenagers.
I've worked with Blue Sky for over a decade now, and they have never disappointed. Matter of fact, I can state from personal experience that they will go above and beyond when things don't go right. That means something, as too many others would just leave you stranded to solve your own problem. You cannot buy that kind of dedication and support, it comes from the heart and a sincere respect for what Scouting is and stands for. 
I whole heartedly support and recommend Blue Sky Adventures for all Scouting travel arrangements and layover activities!

This was the best way to travel to/from Philmont.  Upon our arrival in Denver, the guides were there to greet us at the airport and were so friendly and helpful.  The hike at Red Rock Amphitheater and Garden of the Gods were beautiful.  All of the bus drivers were so friendly and got us where we needed to be, when we needed to be there.  Would absolutely book with Blue Sky Adventures again!

We appreciate the ride to Philmont from Albuquerque. Blue Sky’s monitored my flights that were cancelled, rescheduled, and then delayed to insure I had a ride to Philmont. Thank you!

The only issue that was a big issue was the bus back only stopped at the Main Welcome Center and not at the PTC.  The previous shuttle dropped me off at the PTC Main Office.  I had to drag a nearly 50 lb suitcase on gravel for 1/4 mile it seamed along with carrying my other luggage. My shoulder is still sore today. Will definitely not use a shuttle ever again.  Everything else was as expected.

Definitely recommend travelling with Blue Sky Adventures when travelling to Philmont from Albuquerque or Denver - and vice-versa.  They make an extra effort to make sure that your young folks are accounted for...whether travelling as a Troop or travelling alone (individual trek, working at Philmont or meeting your Troop).  Great people at Blue Sky Adventures....it's obvious it's not all about the money....run by "Scouters" for Scouts.

The ride to Philmont was just us in the van.  The ride and driver were great.  On the way back to the airport we took a large bus.  We missed our flight.  Had to rebook the flight.  Because we got there the exact time our fight left it was our fault that we were late and we were not able to get a refund for our flight. Needless to say I was disappointed 

Great time. Smooth transitions overall. Hotel was nice and in close proximity to shopping and food. 

We had a bit of extra time in the airport heading home. The 730ampickup was a bit early.

Clear directions on location of pickup.  Tbone was excellent and greatly appreciated his support when one of our Scouts fell ill on the ride.  Safe pleasant ride with comfortable seating.
